Ahmedabad, June 24 (Commodities Control): The Gondal Mandi, a primary center for coriander arrivals, witnessed a significant arrival today with 20,000 bags arriving compared to the previous session's 15,000 bags.
In Saurashtra, including Gondal, the market experienced a softening of prices by Rs 10-15 per 20 kg due to decreased trade amidst an arrival of approximately 29,000 bags. Traders attribute the price dip to the increased pressure from coriander arrivals. The market outlook will depend on the future arrivals of coriander, with the arrival of older stock also contributing to the price adjustments.
Today, Saurashtra saw the arrival of around 29,000 bags of coriander, with the average price in the state ranging from Rs 1350-1500 per 20 kg. In Gondal Mandi, out of the 20,000 bags (with each bag weighing 40 kg) that arrived, 6,615 bags were traded at prices between Rs 1351-1651 per 20 kg. Rajkot Mandi received 2,000 bags, with trades conducted at Rs 1200-1468 per 20 kg.
Other notable arrivals included 450 bags in Jamjodhpur Mandi, 3,200 bags in Junagadh Mandi, 350 bags in Jetpur, and around 3,000 bags in various other locations.

Currently The spread between JUL and AUG contract is -98 Rs/quintal.
