Mumbai, May 9, (CommoditiesControl): China's soybean imports in April surged 18% from a year earlier, according to data from the General Administration of Customs. The rise was driven by strong demand for soymeal used in animal feed, as profit margins at hog farms improved. Analysts expect soybean arrivals to remain strong in May before declining in June due to rising global soybean prices and weakening Chinese feed demand.
