Mumbai, May 9 (CommoditiesControl): The groundnut market displayed resilience today, buoyed by robust demand for groundnut seeds. This surge in demand led to an uptick in prices by Rs 10-15 per 20 kg for BT-32 quality peanuts. Despite increased arrivals at Gondal Mandi, approximately 30 percent of the supply comprised lighter peanuts, attributed to prevailing heat conditions. Notably, the price range for BT-32 quality peanuts currently stands between Rs 1150-1340 per 20 kg.
Gondal Mandi recorded an influx of 17000-18000 sacks (1 sack = 35kg) today, with an additional 20000 sacks, inclusive of pending deliveries. Prices ranged from Rs 1221-1536 for average quality and Rs 1241-1346 for premium quality peanuts per 20 kg.
Meanwhile, Rajkot Mandi witnessed the arrival of 6500 bags today, with prices ranging from Rs 1160-1310 for average quality and Rs 1140-1313 for superior quality peanuts per 20 kg. Saurashtra observed a significant inflow of 25,000-30,000 bags of peanuts today.
