Mumbai, 03 May 2024 (Commoditiescontrol): Domestic masur prices in the major mandis and consuming centers maintained steady tone on Friday, for the second straight session. as lower supply extended support. As per the local traders demand is yet to pick up.

Meanwhile, the price of Canadian-origin red lentils (CIF) in Mumbai stood at $720-725 per MT, unchanged over the previous session. The Kolkata port delivery priced at $730-735 per MT for immediate delivery. Imported prices were stable due to consistent demand.

Prices have fallen following news of stringent government action, and further falls are unlikely. Significant rise, however, is unlikely unless the government begins to purchase MSPs.
